Artist statement
The wager
Human or Not is one artist releasing one song a week for 52 weeks — in a year when a machine can do the same in an afternoon. Every track is documented from first voice memo to final master, so the human process is the evidence. The anonymity is the point: no face, no persona, just the songs and the question in the name.

Short bio · 50 words
Human or Not is an anonymous music project releasing one song a week for 52 weeks. Part document, part experiment, it asks what music means when the machine can make it too. Every track is written, recorded and released by a human — in public, in real time.
Long bio · 150 words
Human or Not is an anonymous music project built around a simple wager: one song a week, for 52 weeks, released into a world where machines can now write songs too. The project lives behind four doors — the weekly releases, an evidence archive of acoustic demos and studio scrapbook, a booking terminal, and an open-source lab where stems are given away for anyone to remix. The artist remains faceless by design: the work, not the persona, is the argument. Each release is documented from first voice memo to final master, so listeners can hear the human process behind every track. New singles drop every week, with early access, demos and stems available to subscribers and curators ahead of release. Human or Not is not anti-machine — it is pro-evidence. The question is in the name. The answer is in the songs.
